'Radial
JDV Mk3 Direct Box'
By
Pete Weiss
"...this
is the best direct box I've ever used. Not only does it sound amazing,
it's got tons of features that make it handy and unique." ...
"I compared it to the venerable Countryman DI, a Whirlwind
passive DI, the DI input of an API 3124 preamp channel, and the
DI input of a Drawmer 1960 preamp-compressor. I found the JDV had
much more headroom than the others. The sound was extremely open
and uncolored. I heard absolutely no hint of distortion. Between
the fidelity and the cornucopia of useful features, this box is
a godsend. Hats off to Radial."

JDV Mk3 Direct Box -- 'Direct boxes don't have to be boring'
By
Craig Anderton
"This
overachieving direct box is a guitarists's delight.."...
"Built like a tank." .... "Remarkable sound
quality." ... "This is clearly a high end
unit.... the JDV isn't cheap, but neither is it overpriced:
this box is as good as it gets when you need an accurate,
solidly engineered, great-sounding direct box for stage
or studio."

JDV Mk3 -- 'Class-A direct box with variable input impedance'
By
Carl Coryat
"...
It's remarkable how different from each other the instruments sounded,
which indicates just how sonically transparent the box is."...
"I had fun toying with the variable-impedance DRAG™ control...
with passive basses and the upright, the tone gently mellowed as
I lowered the control while playing. It was fun to search for the
'sweet spot' for each bass, and I found I could use the control
creatively--in some musical contexts, a bass would sit in the mix
better with DRAG..."

JDV in 'Active Direct Box Tests - Seven For The Road'
By
Mark Frink
"...
The JDV is the clear winner". "In phase and
polarity testing, the JDV exhibited the smoothest phase
response"... "Don't worry; you can still
use your old DI's to prop up stage monitors!"

perceived no pickup loading of my '67 Jazz bass and I was impressed
by the clarity and purity of the audio interpretation from instrument
to board."...

audio too, with all the bells and whistles you ever wanted on a
