Q:
Can I switch a condenser microphone with the ABo?
A: This depends on the powering of the mic and
grounding as the charging of the capacitive plates
in the mic could cause a loud pop in the sound
system. To be safe, always test at low volumes
before you use the ABo this way.
Q: Can I use unbalanced
signals with the ABo?
A: Yes. All you have to do is use the proper adaptor
cables.
Q: Can I use hi-impedance
stereo sources like a CD player with the ABo?
A: Sometimes. It depends on the grounding and
source material. It is best to consult a qualified
technician to check the source machine so that
the proper interface cables can be made..
Q: Can I set the ABo so
that both outputs can be on at the same time?
A: No. The ABo is designed as a selector so that
it toggles between two outputs.
Q: Why are there no LEDs
on the ABo?
A: It is always a matter of price and value. We
felt that providing greater control over levels
and potential noise problems due to grounding
were more important than adding a powering circuit
for an LED indicator. With only two output choices,
we felt adding the LED was for the most part,
not a justifiable added cost.
