The HotShot ABo is a balanced signal output selector that employs a latching switch to allow one to connect a sound source to a choice of two destinations. The HotShot ABo is completely passive and therefore does not require powering of any type to make it work.

The HotShot ABo can be used in a variety of applications including driving two channels on a mixing console for dry and wet effects routing; to divert a mic from the PA system to the monitors or intercom; for temporarily muting the signal such as when coughing; and for talkback mic control.

Ultra compact and extremely rugged, the HotShot is made tough for years of trouble free performance and is backed-up with a 3-year transferable warranty.

HotShot™ ABo - select between effects or dry:
For live performances, selecting between two channels on a mixer, the ABo provides a great way for vocalists to use a dry or effects-free mic channel to speak with the audience and a wet channel with reverb and echo when singing.

In this setup:

• Mic goes into ABo's INPUT jack.
• OUT-A goes to Mixer channel with no effects (dry)
• OUT-B goes to mixer channel 2 with reverb effect added

HotShot™ ABo - communicate on stage:
Use the ABo to switch from ‘main to monitor only’ and perform the same tasks as the HotShot DM1 only this time, with a latching foot switch. Ideal for front-of-house engineers to connect to the monitor desk engineer and connect to the band through the stage monitors when needed. Also works great in the studio!

In this setup:

• Mic goes into ABo's INPUT jack.
• OUT-A goes to FOH mixer channel - set Out-A PAD if required
• OUT-B goes to monitor mixer - set PAD and TRIM switches if required
• Set Out-B LIFT to quell buzz cuased by ground loops if required

HotShot™ ABo - select between 'on' and 'mute':
In its simplest form, use the ABo as a mute foot switch to allow the entertainer to clear his throat or cough without the offensive sounds reaching the audience. Furthermore, by reducing the number of mics that are ‘active’ on stage, one can significantly reduce the spill and leakage; the most common cause of stage feedback.

In this setup:

• Mic goes into ABo's INPUT jack.
• OUT-A goes to mixer channel
• OUT-B is not connected, thus A-B Toggle footwitch mutes output

HotShot™ ABo - select between effect channels:
The ABo can be used to toggle between normal and ‘weird’ or modulated sound effects by routing the effects insert jack of the mixer through the ABo and a second channel.

In this setup:

• Mixer effects send output goes to ABo's INPUT jack
OUT-A goes to mixer channel-1 with phased vocorder effect
OUT-B goes to mixer channel-2 with echo + reverb effect
