DiNET DAN-TX2 FAQ

If you don't see the question you had in mind here, feel free to enter in the form provided along with your email address so we may send the reply directly to you. Thanks for your participation!

Does the DAN-TX2 have any analog outputs?

No. The DAN-TX is only equipped with a Dante-enabled Ethernet output.

Will the DAN-TX2 work with Power over Ethernet (PoE), or do I need to connect an external power supply?

The DAN-TX2 will operate with Power over Ethernet. An external power adapter is included for use with networks that do not provide PoE, or to use as a backup power source.

Do I need to configure anything on the DAN-TX2 when connecting to a network?

No, the DAN-TX2 is plug-and-play. As soon as it is connected to the Dante network it will appear as a 2-channel transmit device.

What is the Link switch for?

The Link switch is used when stereo sources are connected to the DAN-TX2 – when engaged the level control and pad on Channel 1 will affect both channels equally. This allows you to make level adjustments without throwing off the balance between the left and right channels.

Does the DAN-TX2 support Dante Domain Manager (DDM)?

Yes, all of our current firmware updates for our DiNET transmitters and receivers will allow the devices to run on DDM. You can download the latest version of the firmware from our website here.
